Alain Prost vs. Rotary Club!

Alain Prost won a case against the Rotary Club of Nyon and of Nyon-La Côte.

The administrative court in Lausanne (Switzerland) gave reason to Alain Prost in the business which opposed him to the Municipality of Nyon concerning the project of a bandstand on the Esplanade des Marronniers, offered by the International Rotary Club.

The administrative court considered that this construction is a building of certain importance, its roof measuring some 10 meters in diameter, and that such a realization cannot be set up in a green zone.

The Municipality took note and decided not to take any further steps against this decision. The Rotary Club of Nyon and of Nyon-La Côte wanted to make a gift to the Town of Nyon, by rebuilding the old bandstand which had been demolished at the end of World War II. The cost of this realization was assembled to 125'000.-- Swiss Francs.
