I'm sure, most of you heared of the Villeneuve-rumour. It said, that Jacques Villeneuve will drive for Team Prost Grand Prix in 1998! It was unbelievable, but even the biggest news agencies published this... It was not on my page, as I couldn't really believe it, although you never can be 100 percent sure. Well, as we all know, it was not true. Alain said in French TV, that there is a big chance, that Jarno Trulli will drive for Team Prost Grand Prix in 1998. But that's not yet done. Anyway, I want to inform you, how the rumour about Villeneuve joining Team Prost came into being:

A canadian radio-journalist asked the organisators of Luxembourg Grand Prix, who else will be at the press conferences. They told him, that a press conference is planned for Thursday with Cesare Fiorio, Frank Williams, Olivier Panis and Jacques Villeneuve taking part. The journalist now thought, that Cesare Fiorio and Frank Williams will announce Villeneuve with Prost in 1998...

By the way: Villeneuve explained, that he has already signed a contract with Williams for next year.
