The 2001 season looks very promising for Prost Grand Prix. The experience gained over the past three years and the support of our new technical partners Ferrari and Michelin, allow us to look ahead with confidence.

The team has been strengthened by the arrival of several highly regarded F1 specialists as well as by a restructured and newly motivated staff. We feel that Prost Grand Prix is now ready to step up to achieve credible gains in the F1 world.

Everyone at our factory in St Quentin en Yvelines has put in a lot of hard work to have the AP04 ready by the deadline. The focus was on reliability and since its first test at the Magny-Cours track, the AP04 has performed well and consistently.

An intense development programme will continue throughout the season. I am confident that Prost Grand Prix and its partners will see positive results from the very first races of the season.
